Our travel recommendations for 2022

As France23 reported, on the 24th of January WHO stated that Europe could be headed towards the end of the pandemic after Omicron. Top US scientist Anthony Fauci expressed similar optimism on the 23rd about the states. This gives us hope for the forthcoming travel season. We listed our top recommendations for 2022 and have our fingers crossed.

1. Orlando

Orlando is a city in central Florida also known as the Sunshine state. Orlando’s legendary for its theme parks, ecotourism and outdoor fun. This is why Orlando is one of the best places in the USA to travel to with your family.
The top sightseeing attraction for Orlando is Walt Disney World, a resort known for parks like the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. If you’re a true theme park fan you’ve also heard of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, famous for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Orlando also has a Legoland and an awesome aquarium.

2. Kahului

Kahului’s a city on the Hawaiian island of Maui, known for its beaches. Many visitors enjoy ziplining, snorkeling and of course luau’s- traditional Hawaiian parties usually accompanied by entertainment such as dances, music and fire shows. Other attractions include whale watching, helicopter tours, trips to the Haleakalā volcano and horseback riding. There are plenty of resorts and gorgeous sunsets making Maui a wonderful island for your vacation. All Hawaiian islands have nicknames and Maui’s nickname is the Valley Isle. This is because most of the island’s towns are located between Maui’s two major mountain ranges. Trust us, this place is gorgeous.

3. Palma de Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca is a city in Spain, the capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca. Palma is known for sun and beaches but also surprises with amazing historical architecture, for example, the Santa Maria cathedral, a Gothic landmark from the 13th century and the Bellver castle, a hilltop medieval fortress from the 14th century. Take a trip with the Tren Sóller, a scenic electric railway winding through mountains and tunnels or admire sharks at the Palma Aquarium. The Bay of Palma, known as Playa de Palma is a beach resort by day but transforms into a clubbing destination at night. Palm trees and the seafront promenade make this a top attraction.

4. Porto

Porto is the second-largest city in Portugal and was built along the hills overlooking the Douro river estuary. Thanks to this, Porto’s historical center was awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1996. Today Porto is a busy industrial and commercial center with a semi-Mediterranean climate. Some of the sightseeing attractions in Porto include the Centro Portugues de Fotografia (Portuguese Photography Museum); Ribeira, Museu Romantico and Mercado do Bolhao, a traditional fruit, vegetable, fish and meat market. FC Porto is one of the most successful football teams in Europe and Porto hosts an entire museum where you can explore more than 120 years of the team’s history.

5. Keflavik

Keflavik is a town in Iceland. The town has a small population of approximately 13, 000 people but as it’s home to the country’s international airport it’s well known among travelers. Attractions include whale watching tours where you can see dolphins, orcas and humpback whales. Visit the Viking Museum and take a trip around the rest of the island. Iceland is famous for the Northern Lights and hot springs. Iceland is also known as the land of fire and ice due to the volcanos and glaciers. Explore the national parks and the Blue Lagoon, a famous outdoor pool and health center. Iceland is perfect for road trips and hiking

6. Nice

Nice is a large city in France and is one of the most popular destinations due to the famous waterfront, fantastic climate and amazing beaches. This French Riviera destination has sensational bars, restaurants and culture. Since 1274 Nice holds one of the biggest carnivals in the world. Enjoy events ranging from flower battles to cold water swims. The area around Nice is very historical. Make sure to visit the Museum of Archeology and learn about the Roman-founded city of Cemenelum. Nice is beautiful due to the ‘La Belle Epoque’ (‘the beautiful age’) architecture and the cobblestone Old Town streets.

7. Naples

Naples is the third most popular travel destination in Italy after Milan and Rome. Naples is one of the most important European port cities. It’s located near Mount Vesuvius, an active volcano that destroyed Pompeii. Naples dates back to the 2nd Millenium B. C. and therefore has a rich culture, art and architecture. Explore lavish architecture masterpieces such as Naples Cathedral. Royal Palace and Castel Nuovo, a 13th-century castle. Another top attraction is the Ovo castle, an imposing islet fortress with an amazing view of the sea. The Napoli Sotterranea Guided Tour takes you to the cities ancient tunnels and caverns.

8. Cancun

Cancun is a Mexican city bordering the Caribbean sea. The city is famous worldwide for its white-sand beaches, turquoise blue sea and amazing weather. Cancun is a perfect destination for people who enjoy resort getaways. One of the most interesting highlights of Cancun is the contemporary underwater sculpture museum with 500 sculptures to dive for. El Rey archaeological Zona is a collection of ancient Mayan ruins. Take a moment to experience the strong history behind this location. Cancun also has plenty of waterparks, natural caves and indoor aquariums. Did we mention you might even see dolphins?

9. Dubai

Dubai is a city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates. This destination is known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and of course, vibrant nightlife scenes. The most famous attraction is Burj Khalifa, a 160-story skyscraper with multiple observation decks. Over 830 meters tall, this tower is part of Dubai’s amazing skyline. Ain Dubai is the world’s tallest observation wheel. It’s safe to say that this city will offer you some amazing views. Other attractions and activities include deep diving in a record-breaking pool and the Palm, an artificial island resort with water and marine-animal parks.

10. Las Vegas

Las Vegas often referred to as just Vegas is a city in Nevada USA. Vegas is famous for gambling, shopping, nightlife and entertainment. The city has amazing luxury hotels which often also include casinos. Many of these are located on the Las Vegas Strip, a 4.2 miles long stretch full of fun. However, it’s still possible to find family-friendly attractions near Sin City as well- for example, the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Another sight to see is the Cultura, Corridor Coalition, iconic for its neon signs and museums. Many visitors also enjoy the thrill rides at the Stratosphere Tower as it’s a great way to see the city’s best views but also to get the adrenaline running.
